Responsibilities;

  • Lesson Delivery: Implement provided lesson plans in an engaging and effective way to support student understanding of the material. In some assignments, you may be asked to create your own lesson plans.
  • Academic Support: Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students when necessary.
  • Behavior Management: Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment by communicating clear expectations, carrying out school behavior protocols, and supervising students at all times.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with students, staff, and administrators. This includes leaving detailed notes or reports for the returning teacher on student performance and classroom activities.

Requirements;

  • Education: A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
  • Certification: Must have, or be willing to obtain, an Emergency 30-day Substitute Permit.
  • Experience: Must be able to provide a reference from working with students K-12.
