Special Education Teacher

  • South Los Angeles
  • $250-300 per day
  • Special Education Credential Required

Responsibilities;

  • Lesson Implementation: Deliver provided lesson plans with an attention to detail, ensuring students' attainment of the daily learning objectives and their completion of their assignments.
  • Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviors by setting clear expectations, supervising students during unstructured learning time, and redirecting challenging behaviors according to school behavior protocols.
  • Hollistic Support:Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and parent conferences as a knowledgeable advocate for student success.
  • Progress Reporting: Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

Requirements;

  • Credential Requirement: Valid Special Education Teaching Credential (Education Specialist Credential or equivalent) appropriate for assigned grade level and student population.
    Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    Classroom Experience: Prior experience working with grade school students in an educational setting is required. Experience with grading and lesson planning is a plus.
