Position Overview

The Middle School Spanish Teacher will deliver flexible, standards-aligned instruction that fosters proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm for world languages, a strong understanding of adolescent learners, and a commitment to equity and academic excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Teach middle school Spanish courses aligned to California World Language Standards

  • Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans

  • Promote cultural awareness and real-world language application

  • Foster student confidence in communication and language acquisition

  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners in an inclusive classroom

  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families

  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful, timely feedback

  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and community engagement

What We're Looking For

  • Valid California Teaching Credential

    • Single-Subject Credential in Spanish or

    • Multiple Subject Credential with Spanish authorization

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English required)

  • Experience teaching Spanish at the middle school level preferred

  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

  • Passion for culturally responsive instruction and student engagement
