Tradewind Subs - Senior Education Consultant
Reports to: City Manager
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt-Additional hours may occasionally be required to support business needs.
Salary: $80,000-$85,000 base salary, plus monthly commission.
Location: Hybrid, Downtown Los Angeles.
Position Summary
The Senior Education Consultant plays a key role in the continued growth and success of Tradewind Subs, taking ownership of a portfolio of School Partners, Educators and bookings while delivering strong and sustainable commercial performance.
As a Senior Education Consultant, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with School Partners, developing a reliable Educator pipeline and matching outstanding Educators with schools across Southern California. You will manage day-to-day and forward staffing requirements, proactively identify opportunities to grow School Partner usage and ensure both School Partners and Educators receive an outstanding level of service.
This is a senior role within the Education Consultant Team. Alongside taking full ownership of your own desk, you will be expected to operate with a high level of accountability and sound judgement, support less experienced colleagues and contribute positively to the wider success of the TWS team.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Performance & Desk Ownership
- Own and develop a successful commercial desk, delivering consistent performance across bookings, gross profit and margin.
- Manage allocated School Partners, Educators and bookings, including day-to-day, forward and long-term staffing requirements.
- Anticipate demand through effective forward planning and prebooking, identifying opportunities to increase usage and grow accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM, booking, pay and charge information and resolve day-to-day issues independently.
- Work closely with Payroll, Compliance, Onboarding and Partnerships to deliver an outstanding service.
School Partner & Educator Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with School Partners, understanding their staffing needs and acting as a trusted, responsive point of contact.
- Build and manage a reliable Educator pipeline aligned to School Partner demand.
- Match Educators effectively based on experience, availability, location and suitability, maximizing utilization and successful placements.
- Maintain regular communication with Educators regarding availability, bookings and performance.
- Work with Onboarding to identify and prioritize Educator recruitment requirements.
Team Contribution
- Support the wider Education Consultant Team to maximize bookings and gross profit, sharing Educators, information and opportunities where appropriate.
- Support and guide less experienced colleagues, demonstrating the standards expected of a Senior Education Consultant.
- Contribute positively to team meetings, Sales Days and wider Company initiatives.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and projects in line with business needs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success will be measured through:
- Bookings, gross profit and margin.
- School Partner usage, retention and account growth.
- Educator registrations, pipeline strength and utilization.
- Forward bookings, prebookings and long-term placements.
- CRM and operational accuracy.
- Contribution to wider team performance.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in recruitment, staffing, account management, customer service, sales, education or another fast-paced, relationship-focused environment.
- No specific degree or education qualification is required. We value relevant experience, commercial ability and demonstrated performance.
- Proven ability to build and manage strong client relationships and achieve commercial targets.
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong customer service, professionalism, accountability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and use sound judgement.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally across Los Angeles and Southern California as required for School Partner visits, meetings, events and other business activities.
- A valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle are essential, as the role requires driving to School Partner sites, meetings, events and other business locations across Los Angeles and Southern California as part of the position.

Desirable
- Knowledge of the Los Angeles education market.
- Experience using CRM, ATS or staffing-management systems.

Compensation & Commission
- Competitive base salary of $80,000-85,000
- Monthly commission paid in addition to base salary, providing the opportunity to increase overall earnings through strong individual performance.
- Commission is linked to clearly defined commercial performance measures, including bookings and gross profit performance.
