Special Education Substitute Teacher - Los Angeles

What you'll do:

Step into Special Education classrooms across LA and make learning possible:

  • Implement lesson plans in whole-group and small-group settings, differentiating and adapting materials to meet individual student needs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers and service providers to ensure students with IEPs receive the support they need
  • Maintain classroom routines and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with fidelity to support a positive learning environment
  • Provide detailed notes on student progress toward learning objectives and behavioral goals

Qualifications:

✓ Valid Education Specialist Credential required

✓ Previous experience working with students with IEPs required; school-based experience preferred

✓ Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and flexibility skills

✓ Genuine passion for Special Education and a commitment to helping every student reach their IEP goals
